Abstract

Journal of a trip to Europe, April-Sept. 1866. Carey sailed on the steamship China out of Boston, and travelled all over Great Britain and continental Europe. His journal describes in detail the cities and points of interest he visited, and includes an index of cities at the beginning. Carey also copied down the music to a few songs sung by fellow passengers and sailors on the voyage.
